Since I started this wing project, several people have told me that I need to try the wings at Candlelight Inn, a small bar located 20 miles north of the city in Scarsdale, New York. Some have even gone as far to say that they make the best wings in the entire state of New York! So when Ryan Foley and Craig Lema asked me to join them at Candelight Inn for the last stop on their 2011 Wing Tour, I immediately accepted.
This past weekend, I did a photo shoot with my very talented friend, Lev Kuperman at Green Rock Tap & Grill in Hoboken, NJ. Check out Lev’s photography site here. I don’t have any photos to show you right now, but I can tell you that my white tee was drenched in wing sauce when it was over.
Mike and the staff at Green Rock were awesome! They helped us get set up and provided two hot plates of wings for the shoot. I ate all 18 of them and loved every bite. If you follow this blog, you know Green Rock’s wings are my favorite, so no need to recap them here.
Check back soon for the photos and a BIG thanks to Lev and Mike at Green Rock for making this happen. You guys rock!

The United States isn’t the only country where chicken wings are consumed. Thanks to my friend Divya and her husband David, I had the privilege of sampling wings how they’re prepared 8,453 miles away, from the comfort of my apartment on the Eastern Seaboard.
Not able to take advantage of Lansdowne Road‘s 25 cent wing special last Monday because I was traveling, I made sure I was there bright and early this week to get my wing on. My loyalness was rewarded with 18 of the meatiest wings I’ve ever had there. How good do those look?

What’s better than a wing special? A wing and beer special! Last week I took my wing talents to NYC’s Upper West Side to investigate the wing and beer special at McAleer’s Pub.
Before I talk about my visit, let me tell you how I came across this place. My buddy Steve lived on the Upper West Side from 2002-2007 and his apartment was just steps away from McAleer’s Pub. When Steve went there he usually ordered the wing and beer special.
Eager to show me to the special and retrace his former stomping grounds, Steve rallied up his old Upper West Side roommates and convinced them to join us at McAleer’s.
